Mélony Y. Qin, aka CloudMelon, is a tech product manager turned entrepreneur and investor. She is also the author of four books with Packt Publishing: the Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) Exam Guide, the Kubernetes Workshop, Azure integration Guide for Business, and Microsoft Azure Infrastructure.
She’s also a member of the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) and the Project Management Institute (PMI). In the community, she mainly contributes to OSS, DevOps, Kubernetes, Serverless, Data & AI, and IoT on Microsoft Azure.
She’s the founder of CVisiona, an iMelonArt Ventures company and a stealth AI startup. She also runs CloudMelon Vis and CVisiona on YouTube. Together, they form a next-gen tech media and education platform for tech professionals. Both channels focus on cloud-native and generative AI trends, with tech in minutes. Complex ideas, simple stories.

My self-motivated journey of learning
I’m a member of Kubernetes SIG Release and a Tech Lead at the Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF) DevEx (Developer Experience) TAG (Technical Advisory Group). I’m also a CNCF Ambassador and a member of the KubeCon program committee. Being an ambassador allows me to connect more with the community. Above all, I love to share knowledge and learn. I also hope to help others learn about cloud-native technologies like Kubernetes, and how Kubernetes serves as the backbone in the age of AI.
I’m eager to speak at CNCF events and to mentor new learners in workshops & hackathons. Personally, I will keep creating engaging educational content. That way, I can help people navigate the complexities of Kubernetes adoption more effectively.
